Mind Power.
Sometimes it's hard to keep your mind in a positive path, even if you are the most positive person in the world. There are times, when someone is going to ruin your day, even if you woke up feeling like your going to conquer the world. That's the moment you lost the battle, not because you are down, but because you let someone else bring you down. At that exact moment that person defeated you and you feel like there is nothing that can fix it. That my friend it's not possible. You and only you have the power, it's all in your mind. No one can make you feel down without your permission, your mind it's in control. That works both way, to let it get to you or not. You control those emotions. When someone makes you feel this way, take a second, step back, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and let it go. Easy as that. You have the power and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Rainbow
It rained a lot this past Saturday in Miami. Which it's fine with me, but I really don't like going out and getting my feet wet. I was out for a late lunch with my best friend, when we left the restaurant realized it had been raining for a while. My feet got soaking wet on our way to the car. Needless to say I was beyond mad. When we got to the car I literally attacked a Kleenex box trying to dry my feet, so was my friend. We left the parking lot of the restaurant and immediately saw it, there it was, in the middle of the sky, it was a DOUBLE RAINBOW, we were so excited!!! We stopped the car and started taking pictures, as if it was the first rainbow we have ever seen. It was not the first one, but who does not get happy or excited when they see a rainbow? even if you see one everyday, still is amazing! After seeing it, we started talking and laughing at ourselves, for being so silly for getting mad when we got our feet a little wet. What I'm trying to say is, we have to always look at the bigger picture. Sometimes we have to go through some not so pleasant things in life to get to what we really want. I mean look at this picture and tell me if getting my feet wet was not totally worth it???

The call...
Monday is one of those days that I start work at 9am and the next time I look at my watch its already 12pm. If you survive the first couple of mondays here, you are a keeper. I always try to keep myself on a positive state of mind, which had help me survive the past four years. I'm by nature, a very positive person, but on Mondays, I have to make an extra effort, because like most humans, Mondays to me are the hardest day of the week. Today was not different, hectic morning, a million emails, voicemails, faxes and calls, till I got that one call, the call that change my day.It was an unexpected call, at an unexpected time by a person I was by no means expecting to call. It's amazing how just one small random act can change ones mood and feelings. I love when things like this happen. Sometimes it has been a dream or a thought, or like today, a call, it completely changes my day. I feel like the happiest person in the world, and today was just like that. I have been feeling like a 5 year old at a toy store for the entire day, its the best feeling in the world if you asked me. If you have never experienced this, I wish you would, because there are no words to explain it, and if you have, I'm glad, and tell me, isn't the best??? I'll leave you with this...

J'adore cette ville!
I have never been in Paris, but among other things, is one of my obsessions. I love seeing pictures, watching movies, their fashion, food, literature, music, everything about it have caught my attention since an early age. I can not wait till the day i finally go there, and experience it all for myself. Hopefully it will be very soon.

Alice's Bucket List...
On 6/8/2011 I logged into my twitter account and on the TT list I saw #AliceBucketList . I was curious, so I went on to find out what it was about. I started reading what people were writing till I found a link to the blog that had started all. It's an inspiring blog by a 15 year old girl with cancer. This is something that, if you have not read, you need to read. We spend our days complaining about the things we have and the things we don't have, about our jobs, clothes, even a parking space. Let's be thankful for each day we get to live and get to spend with the people we love. Let's instead dedicate the time we use to complain to help others. There are many ways we can do this, by donating money, your time, things you don't use, blood, organs and like in this case bone narrow. Horizon.
Some days I just feel like going to the beach by myself and just sit there. To look at the horizon, there is something so intriguing and calming about that view. That line which apparently to our eyes, divides the sky from the sea, that line which is not really there. We could go into a full blown conversation about geometrical formulas, Pythagorean theorem, the radius of the earth, curvature of the horizon or the effect of atmospheric reaction, but why complicate things? When i look at the horizon, i forget all the formulas, all the reasoning, i just think on the perfect combination of sand, breeze, the smell of sea water, the sky and our endless imagination. The line that divides earth and sky is to many of us a world of possibilities only limited by the power of our minds. That being said, to me, that scenario is the epitome of spiritual tranquility, like my "Zen place" to put it on another way. I will live you with this and will try to go meditate, in my room, which I haven't done in a while :D

Marilyn's 85th Birthday!
On June 1 of 1926, Norma Jeane Baker better known as Marilyn Monroe was born in Los Angeles, California. Her difficult childhood included, living at an orphanage for 2 years at an early age and moving through a series of foster homes, among other things. She was an actor, singer and a model. She was known for her roles in movies such as "Gentlemen prefer blondes", "How to marry a millionaire", "The seven year itch", among others. She had an scandalous life. She did things her way, without caring what people would say. She was on the cover of the first issue of Playboy magazine on December of 1953. She sadly passed away on August 5 of 1962 of an overdose. She was, still is a pop and cultural icon, and let's not forget an eminent American sex symbol.
